Duncan Depledge attended the Montreal Climate Security Summit organised by NATO's Climate Change and Security Centre of Excellence (CCASCOE) and the Conference of Defence Associations Institute (CDAI)/, October 2025. At the Summit, Duncan co-led a workshop on Increased Readiness and Resilience through Low-Carbon Warfare with Professor Bruno Charbonneau. Benjamin Neimark and Karen Bell have been made a Fellow of the Transition Security Project. The new centre investigates military industrial complexes and economic, climate and geopolitical threats. See more: http://transitionsecurity.org
Karen Bell will speak at the Scottish CND AGM on 15 November and the UK CND AGM on 22 November 2025, discussing the intersections between green transition, defence conversion, and peace policy.
Karen Bell attended the Trade Union Congress in September 2025, where she chaired a workshop on alternative security and demilitarisation. She also met with several union leaders, including from UCU, regarding the Wages for Weapons motion, which was successfully passed using research from the Alternative Defence Review.
Karen Bell participated as a panel speaker in a series of meetings throughout 2025 organised by the Trade Union Peace Network, Radical Options for Scotland, Peace and Justice, and Stop the War, held across Scotland, Bristol, and London.
Karen Bell became a member of the International Academic Critical Friends Group (IACFG) for The JUST Centre: Joined-up Sustainability Transformations, and attended the inaugural meeting in August 2025 https://www.just.ac.uk/
Karen Bell spoke at the Scottish Trade Union Peace Network (STUC) online launch of the ADR on 18 June, alongside Alex Gordon (RMT).

In May 2025, Duncan Depledge became a Non-Resident Fellow of the Center for Climate & Security (part of the Council on Strategic Risks) based in Washington, D.C.
